Salmon is widely recognised as a highly nutritious food, rich in omega-3 fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. Beyond its nutritional benefits, salmon DNA has also gained attention in the field of skin rejuvenation, with lots of data supporting improvements to skin elasticity and quality. With Rejuran, this skin-rejuvenating ingredient is delivered directly into the skin through targeted injections.
Rejuran originates from South Korea and is a well-established treatment for ageing and tired-looking skin. Its active ingredient, polynucleotides (PN), consists of purified DNA fragments derived from salmon. PN supports the activity of fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and maintaining the structure of our skin. By supporting these natural regenerative processes, Rejuran helps improve skin elasticity, tone, texture, hydration, and overall skin thickness. Often referred to as a skin rejuvenation or "baby skin" treatment, Rejuran is designed to restore a healthier, smoother, and more radiant-looking complexion.
Rejuran is KFDA-approved for injection into the skin and is available in four formulations: Rejuran Healer, Rejuran S, Rejuran I, and Rejuran HB Plus.
Rejuran Healer
The original, high-concentration PN treatment. Rejuran Healer is the original formulation in the Rejuran range and has been used in Korea for over 10 years, with millions of syringes administered. It contains a high concentration of PN to support skin regeneration and is considered the all-rounder of the Rejuran range.It is suitable for overall skin rejuvenation, helping to improve skin elasticity, texture, hydration, fine lines, and signs of ageing.
Rejuran S
For acne scars and uneven texture. Rejuran S has a thicker, more viscous, gel-like consistency compared to Rejuran Healer, allowing it to provide additional support for sunken and uneven scars. At the same time, it retains the regenerative properties of PN, stimulating collagen production in the dermis to help improve the appearance of box scar, rolling, and ice-pick acne scars. Rejuran S can be used as a standalone treatment or combined with subcision and/or resurfacing lasers for more comprehensive scar improvement.
Rejuran I
For the delicate eye area. Rejuran I has a lighter consistency compared to Rejuran Healer and is specifically formulated for the delicate skin around the eyes. It helps improve under-eye elasticity, fine lines, crow’s feet, and the appearance of dark eye circles while minimising lumpiness and prolonged downtime. A primary course of 3 treatments performed at monthly intervals is typically recommended for optimal results.
Rejuran HB Plus
For enhanced regeneration and hydration. Rejuran HB Plus combines PN for skin regeneration with hyaluronic acid for hydration, providing enhanced moisturising benefits while preserving PN’s skin-repair properties. It is suitable for the whole face, including the eye area, and can help improve fine lines, dark circles, eye bags, pore appearance, and skin elasticity. The formulation also contains lidocaine for greater injection comfort. Rejuran HB Plus is administered intradermally and can be used alongside other injectables and energy-based treatments as part of a comprehensive skin rejuvenation plan.

A course of 3 treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart is commonly recommended. Maintenance treatments may then be performed every 4–6 months, depending on your skin condition and goals.
Both PN and PDRN are regenerative skin treatments, but they differ in their molecular structure and applications. PN has larger molecules and is typically delivered into the skin through injection, while PDRN can also be formulated for topical use.
Yes. Rejuran can be performed on its own or combined with lasers and other injectables, depending on your skin concerns. It can also be paired with hyaluronic acid Skinboosters as part of a customised skin rejuvenation plan.
For the first 24 hours, avoid excessive sun exposure, strenuous exercise, swimming, and extreme temperatures. Keep your skin clean and avoid unnecessary touching of the treated areas. Alcohol should also be avoided for 72 hours.
Rejuran may not be suitable for patients with an allergy to salmon, active inflammation or infection, connective tissue diseases, active immunological conditions, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor will assess your suitability before treatment.
